اقيم المؤتمر السنوي العام للإيرانيين وحماة المقاومة الإيرانية يوم السبت الأول من يوليو/ تموز2017 في باريس بمشاركة مئات من السياسيين ورجالالحكومة في العالم من الطراز الأول ووفود من المشرعين والشخصيات البارزة من أكثر من 50 بلدا من 5قارات في العالم.   أكدت السيدة  مريم رجوي  رئيسة الجمهورية المنتخبة من قبل المقاومة في هذا المؤتمر أن إسقاط نظام ولاية الفقيه، الطريق الوحيد لإنقاذ الشعب الإيراني من شر الإستبداد الديني الحاكم والطريق الوحيد لإحلال السلام والأمن في المنطقة مشددة على أن إسقاط النظام أمر ضروري وفي المنظور في الوقت نفسه وأن هناك بديلا ديمقراطيا ومقاومة منظمة لإسقاط النظام من عرش الحكم.

أيها الأصدقاء الكرام، عندما يقدّم شعب البديل السياسي، فمعناه انه نال رصيداً كبيراً لنيل الحرية. إذن الشعب الايراني يفخر بأنه وخلال محاربته لوحش ولاية الفقيه، قد أوجد بمقاومته ومعاناته وتقديم دماء غزيرة، بديلا ديمقراطيا. هذا هو الرصيد والعنصر القيادي الحاسم الذي لم يكن موجودا في زمن الشاه، والا لما كان خميني يجد فرصة لسرقة قيادة ثورة الشعب الايراني ليدمّرها على رأس الشعب وشعوب كل المنطقة. لكن مسعود وقف في وجه خميني ونظام ولاية الفقيه وأسس بترجمة شعار الحرية البديل الديمقراطي وجيش الحريه؛ وبينما كان خميني يبيد كل شيء أحيي مسعود في تركيبة المجلس الوطني للمقاومة الايرانية وجيش التحرير الوطني وفي وجه النظام الفاشي المذهبي القوى المناضلة التقدمية الإيرانية التي تقاتل الاستبداد.  انه أسّس حركة مناهضة للتطرف في المنطقة، وجعل برصيد الجهاد والصمود وقبول المخاطرات على مدى 50 عاما بدءا من  سجن ايفين  والى أشرف، (جعل) طلائع الأجيال الايرانية قوى مترسّخة في معركة الحرية.  واليوم تجمّع مقاتلو سبيل الحرية في أشرف الثالث في ألبانيا، ويعلم الجميع أن معجزة رحلتهم من وسط النار والدماء في أش
