IRGC response to new US sanctions?

By Arash Nikzad

"The level of fear and insecurity which Tehran feels from new sanctions has increased.
So, political leader ship and decision-makers in Tehran pushed for a greater effort to show off their missile capabilities, as a preventative policy in confronting the world."
Less than one week after new sanction Iranian Defense Minister  IRGC Brigard General Hossein Dhegihan announced Iran had made a "great achievement" by beginning production of new rockets that can reach an altitude of almost 27 kilometers and 120 kilometers range.
In fact, Tehran's announcement about the Sayyed-3 production was the reaction and a message from  IRGC  to the entire world that additional sanctions from major powers would be met by the Iranian administration with increased investment in Iran’s missile industries.

Military experts think Iran's new missile is akin to the SAM S-200, a surface-to-air missile designed to destroy aircraft or other missiles.

They knew well imposing new sanctions on Iran, a move that increases the tensions between the Iranians and ruling mullahs in Tehran.

U.S. officials said further sanctions will be imposed on Iran as a result of Tehran's destabilizing influence in the Middle East and support for terrorist groups, as well as the Iranian government's continuing missile development program, export terrorism, military, and financial support from rebels in Yemen and finally military presence in Syria

Some analysts have predicted that Tehran could respond to the sanctions by displaying more of the advances achieved by its missile development program.  Despite, the agreement between Iran and the major powers — the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, as it is known formally — included restrictions on Iran's missile program as part of the overall goal of ensuring that Iran takes no action to develop nuclear weapons.
Iran continued its controversial destabilizing policy in the region.
